Pain relief for exercise soreness
Work - out soreness. We have all had that. A simple, holistic way to deal with that problem is to drink half a cup of pineapple juice for dieters or eat canned pineapples with ice cream after every workout. Pineapple contains bromelain enzymes. These chemicals have anti-inflammatory properties and also help repair torn/pulled muscle fibers.
Also use RICE - rest, ice, compression, elevation immediately on the day and night following injury. A day or so later, if moderate to severe pain still is there -start using heat instead of ice - follow the same formula. I also use a basic massage technique (use my hands and squeeze around the limb going up and down) with bengay or olive oil on the skin to help improve circulation. Don't squeeze too hard on the muscle. The goal is to improve circulation and minimize pain when you touch the sore area. You are helping your body in the healing process with this technique.
