Teeth Whitening too Far?
Teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the States. According to MSNBC's article, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15309784/ "Americans spent more than $1.4 billion on over-the-counter teeth-whitening products last year alone. "
Unfortunately, per the article it seems teeth whitening over long term and with excessive usage of chemicals as some do - can cause permanent damage. Hollywood has already damaged their natural teeth. Most of Hollywood has veneers. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15301619/ Can show you the teeth of celebrities.
A little note on veneers - http://www.aacd.com/downloads/doc/veneersnewcover.pdf That gives you some basics on what it is.
A very tiny note on the fact that it is nonreversible. So tread cautiously people with both teeth whitening and veneers.
There are a few luxuries in life - one of them is being able to eat cold ice cream, drink hot soup, and chomp down on nuts, apples, and other crunchy things. So don't overdo it.
